Mouth rinse with hydrogen peroxide.
Mouthwashes are some times recommended for short term use. Hydrogen peroxide has been used for decades and it is better targeted to certain types of bacteria responsible for gum disease and bad breath. Always read and follow the instructions from the manufacturer about your mouthwash as they have different purposes and follow the advice from your dental practitioner on the recommended frequency of use. Hydrogen peroxide mouthwashes have a unique oxygenating cleansing action and an antibacterial effect. In general, hydrogen peroxide mouthwash can be used anytime but is most effective if you thoroughly brush and floss your teeth first. Simply hold a small amount in your mouth, swish it around for 1 minute, and spit it out. In order to get the maximum benefit from mouthwash, avoid eating, drinking, or smoking for at least 30 minutes after rinsing.
