This article explains how to use chlorhexidine gel on a small brush to treat sore gums.
- Chlorhexidine gel kills germs.
- It is only for a short time, when there is an infection or a gum problem around a tooth or implant. It is not for every day.
- Your dentist will tell you when to use it, for example after gum treatment or implant surgery.
Steps
- Brush and clean between your teeth as normal first.
- Put the gel on an interdental brush (a small brush for between teeth).
- Gently push the brush into the problem area or along the gum.
- Do not rinse afterwards.
- Use morning and night for 3 to 7 days.
- Keep out of reach of children.
